The Bureau recommendations below are to assist all Member organisations in registering pedigree animals and individual breeders when purchasing semen, embryos or live animals.

1. Breed Description – Recessives & Genetic Defects

The World Jersey Cattle Bureau recommends that its Member organisations require owners of genomic test results to declare the lethal recessive and genetic defect status of males and females for publication on pedigree certificates, proof lists and marketing information.

And that these owners shall declare such information on their own marketing information also.

2. Full and Grade / Supplementary Register

That each Member organisation provides the Bureau with a copy of the protocols to Full pedigree and Grade or Supplementary registration, along with the policies and procedures applied for entry into the Herdbook.
