The Officers of the Bureau select recipients based on nominations submitted by National Member countries or the Council.
Also listed are those who have had an Award bestowed upon them; along with the Presidents’ Board of those who have had the honour to lead the Bureau.
DISTINGUISHED ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This award is the highest honour that the WJCB Council can bestow on an individual, or an organisation, and recognises those that have made an outstanding contribution to the breeding, development or promotion of the Jersey breed, or its products, at an international level.
Recipients will have truly set themselves apart by their actions and successes either in immediate influence or over a period of many years. The award is made at a meeting of the Bureau held in conjunction with an International Conference and there is no restriction on the number of recipients, although it is an elite award.

Recipients must be Life Members of the Bureau who will have achieved success, for example in the promotion of the Bureau, support through the raising of funds or sponsorship for the Bureau, attendance and leadership at Bureau Council Meetings and associated programmes or service as a member of the Bureau Council or other position. The award is made at an Annual Meeting of the Council.
CERTIFICATE OF ACHIEVEMENT
This award recognises individuals who have demonstrated a positive influence on the Jersey breed in their own country through their consistent and long term efforts.
